As the founder and owner, I'm Hilary Ashlund. With over 20 years of experience, I've had the privilege of helping clients transform their houses into homes that are not only beautiful but truly livable. From refreshing a single room to managing full home renovations and even corporate residences, I handle projects of all sizes. While we're based in Wilmette on Chicago's North Shore, our work extends across the country, from California to New York and beyond.

My past career as a photo stylist and visual merchandiser gave me a strong foundation in construction, space planning, lighting, and sourcing materials. I bring that same sharp eye for detail to every project, ensuring everything from kitchen and bath designs to the final accessories works together seamlessly.

My inspiration comes from everywhere—art, travel, entertaining, and the challenge of repurposing a beloved piece of furniture. As a mom of two, I also understand that a home needs to be resilient and adaptable. Some of the most beautiful spaces come from unexpected challenges, and I love finding creative solutions to make a home both functional and stunning.

When I'm not designing, you can find me creating art, experimenting with new recipes, and enjoying time with friends over coffee.

My work is driven by a few core strengths: extreme attention to detail, a resourceful and artistic approach, clear communication, and a calm, problem-solving mindset. However, I have a few delightful weaknesses: croissants, Belgian linen, tulips, and, of course, antique stores.
